I love classical music and opera, and am very familiar with Maria Callas recordings, many of them legendary. I also read several biographies covering her life and career. I was looking forward to see this movie, I guess my expectations were too high. I’m my opinion it is a total flop. Boring, slow paced, poorly scripted. After less than an hour of watching, I concluded that I don’t care anymore, and turned it off. That’s all I have to say. Life is too short to waste on stuff like this.

If you like Bruce Willis movies, this Day of the Jackal may be for you. If you like Frederick Forsyth’s book and 1973 movie based on it, this one may be not for you. They used the title to draw the audience, but they lost me early in episode 2, I just could not waste my time to watch this BS plot and subplots, and family drama (who cares?). And the poor acting… yawn.

One of the stupidest movies ever made. The only reason I saw it was that my granddaughter wanted to see it. Some scenes are insulting to intelligence. A guy swimming in freezing water, no hypothermia. Flying dinosaur flying faster than a plane. Motorcycle catching a plane during takeoff. Red hot burning locust still flying. To name just a few. The executive producer Spielberg is crying all the way to the bank, I’m sure.
