The fact that fans are divided is exactly what they expected from going so far out in left field. I know the entire album feels like something different & all the randomness & sound seems like a trip on acid but I’ve been a fan of A7X since city of evil in middle school. Nobody took me 5 listens to fully appreciate & love. This album only took me 2 listens to actually fall in love with it! I think there’s more piano & more screaming than “recent” albums given it’s been 7 years I wouldn’t call any of their previous work recon but damn this music hits different. Listen to it in order everyone before you give it a 1 star & call it a day.
