I'm reading these reviews and some of you missed some MAJOR, THOUGHT PROVOKING, BRILLIANT writing in this movie. Just the twist in the movie; you start off thinking shes a woman scorned and script flips and you realize this movie is about Perception. How things look and how things actually were. PERCEPTION IS REALITY BUT NOT ACTUALLY!! Tyler allowed you to see both sides of the story and how easy it is for the mind to get twisted based off how we Choose to see things. Melinda had every right to feel the way she did... especially after what happened at the trailer when they were young, but her perception was twisted based off of how the situation looked & who she listened to... verses what was actually happening ... and that anger & resentment... it spinned her emotions out of control! Every woman isn't a woman scorned.... I've never heard of the word Acrimony.... but man I'll never forget it after watching this. My husband and I watched it together and it kept us at the edge of our seats. Taraji was AMAZING! We enjoyed this movie thoroughly. Bravo Tyler Perry!
