Wait. Stanton picked up Booth’s derringer in Ford’s Theater? Stanton poked around Booth’s room looking for clues? (Possible DNA?) “This is a crime scene.” What? Ok, now Lincoln. He’s now a guy of below average height who sounds like Walter Brennan on “The Real McCoys?” Twice Booth is told, “you look smaller in person.” Did they see him on TV or in a movie? If they saw him on stage, they, quite literally, saw him in person. Lincoln’s casket is carried out of the Peterson house by a squad of Union soldiers. Black and white soldiers. It’s a nice idea, but I’m pretty certain there were no units performing such duties together until Harry Truman integrated the Armed Forces. I liked the costumes. I really wanted to like this series. I enjoyed the book. I wish whoever wrote the series had read it as well.

Why was the money “gone.” Where did it go? Cal does a bad thing to a nice neighbor. Not a moment of remorse. Jean wasn’t allowed to drive a car. Yet, strangely enough, she gets in a car and drives. Cal tells her she can hide in the secret hole in the floor. Although there’s no way to hide the hole once she’s in it. I guess the bad guys wouldn’t notice the table and rug moved aside or the outline of a door in the middle of the room. This movie has more holes than a sieve.
