A brilliant piece of movie-making from the very first shot. A human story told in the background of food, friendship and love. There are movies telling love stories but few do it the way this movie does! 5/5

This is what Bollywood movies should be. Young talents and refreshing themes that have a social message. To me, utterly disappointed with those mega box office hits which I couldn't bare watching even for10 mins, this was a total surprise. Great background score as well. L9ved it.

I found the movie to be mediocre. It felt quite contrived and generally lacking in a compelling narrative. It seems Indian movies cannot get past its silly formula of songs and dances just for the heck of. Pippa is this too. I expected better, but while there are rare non-commercial gems from the Indian movie world, most of them fall far behind in quality and standards of storytelling and the art of movie-making compared to where the rest of the world is.

The film's framework is typical Bollywood, however I liked it for pushing the envelope on a few social taboos that are falsely ingrained as virtuous in the Indian culture. Ranveer and Alia held up their roles very well. Watchable and enjoyable.
