How dare you make me cry over two characters who I didn't even really care about prior to this book. How dare you make the story leading up to Frozen and Frozen 2 seem much more comprehensive and thought out now that we have a bridge to understand the gap between the two films, only elevating their quality and how they expand the story even more. I'm supposed to be doing my Independent Research right now about rat myelination rates and their relationship with MS, but no, you had the audacity to make a story so investing that I neglected it (and yes, I still have an extra day to finish my hw, but that's not the point). The point is, is that never in a million years did I think I would be absolutely sobbing over the death of Iduna and Agnarr after I didn't even shed a tear when I first saw the movie in theaters (I watched it on its premiere day too!). But you managed to do it, you made me so emotionally invested with this literary work you made and now I'm typing out this review while I'm wiping the tears from my eyes.
...anyways so yea, this is a great book. If anyone's a sucker for mutual pining, slow-burn, generational trauma, or is just a romantic in general, I will guarantee you love this book.
