Pokken Tournament DX is a traditional Fighting Game with Pokemon as the fighters. There are 21 fighters in the base game, 23 with DLC, all of whom as a unique gimmick to differentiate from one another. For example Lucario is your entry level fighter, much like Ryu, but Blaziken whom has a similar combo play style has a system where if you charge your strong attacks you reduce your health. The game offers three play modes, standard, a special mode where power ups like strength up fall on the field, and triple battle where you can select three Pokemon. The game offers a lackluster story mode, which is just fighting the computer, but it lasts longer than it has any right to be.
