This is TV peoeple. This is from a professional Review and hits the nail on the head of the show. Doctor Odyssey is an extravagant soap opera set on the open ocean with medical jargon thrown in. The pilot is fun, albeit ridiculous. It’s hard to take the drama parts seriously because there’s no sense of realism to it. The ship’s Captain goes so far as to explain that they’re there to maintain a level of fantasy regardless of circumstances for their passengers. But he was talking about us as viewers, too. It is a Ryan Murphy show, after all.

I like the show overall. The two leads are just great.

The skip is not great. Some of the actors are good. Most storylines are not great. I dont believe the storyline with the chief for a second. No way would he act like this and so much coverup would happen. The lead female is pretty strong though and her ex have great chemistry. The Hawaii local is nice looking but its never as bright as it shoudl be. Their is a darkness to the filming I do not like.

Its violent and vulgar. But its an amazing story which I find a bit our there but the acting and the stories are very interesting. Some of the actors are so addicting you cannot stop watching them. Beth (which is hard to like in the beginning) and Rip are just incredible. Kevin Costner is just super as the leader of everything. Like I said its violent, vulgar, and the story line is so out there. But if you like Mafia films which it really seems like you will love the characters. Also you have never seen so many characters that have flawed lives such as these.

Nothing wrong with it. People being very dramatic about nothing. It tells a good story and gives people what they want in the end.
