First in a trilogy by a fine writer - can't wait for numbers 2 and 3! A glimpse of what life could well have been like if Germany had succeeded in conquering Kent by stealth before marching on to the rest of Britain. The first book too I've ever read that gives a taste of Romany vernacular.
