A beautifully shot and carefully crafted slice of life film. All characters and surroundings, as in any other Koreeda film feel lived in. A story about a family that just like any other we all know, have layers of emotions and issues. A family that seems normal but are trying to grasp a sense of normalcy while going through loss and guilt, and more than once one of the lead characters asks, 'whether this is normal?' I say 'May be not' but then 'What really is?'
