If you have seen ANY superhero movie or comic where the majority of the A-list characters brutally die in an extinction-level event, you know the EXACT plot device they're going to use to "save the day" in the end. So far I've seen many reviews praise this movie for its "edginess", gruesome and bloody deaths, consequential actions, but what they failed to tell you is that none of that really matter if the film doesn't let the surviving world LIVE with those consequences. Instead, the movie simply tickles the emotion-driven part of your brain by chopping up all your favourite characters in the most comical way possible, just to show how "edgy" and "bold" the writers are, and then they say "haha we're just kidding, we'll bring them back because we don't know how to make stories beyond killing people and bringing them to life." It has been a problem in the comic industry and it's a problem with movies like these.
If you want a brain-numbing, popcorn-munching flick to spend time, this movie is for you. But don't pretend it to be bold and edgy thereafter.
