As a manual therapist myself, I strongly feel that a real effort has clearly been made by James Earls & Thomas Myers to produce this interesting piece of work of the highest therapeutic qualities in terms of fascial release for structural balance.
Strong emphasis (as highlighted throughout the chapters) on Advanced Body Reading & Analysis along with re-educating tissues may prove very handy to all manual therapists involved in the treatment of patients presenting with sports injury or any other acute or chronic conditions.
Sufficient link established by the authors between interdependence of Healthy Breath and Healthy Spine have nevertheless been very useful and helpful. Inextricable inter-dependence of abdomen, thorax and breathing has been identified and contextually emphasised throughout the chapters along with how to effectively and successfully approach muscles from origin to insertion and vice versa.
A substantial emphasis and step by step guidance on opening the flexor and extensor may also prove beneficial to manual therapists dealing with Golfer's and Tennis elbow on day to day basis.
An additional section in next edition on how to approach issues related to medial, anterior and posterior scalene may make the book more interesting from therapeutic point of view.
It is definitely worth getting hold of this book as it is. You may acquire many relevant new skills to develop your career.
Best wishes
