Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt, Rebecca Ferguson's IIsa, and the cinematography are all great. Spoiler Alert: The cold opening and sentient digital threat premise are thrilling. Unfortunately, the abovementioned goods don't dominate the movie's exhausting runtime. Hayley Atwell's Grace ruined this movie for me. Ethan Hunt saves her, she betrays him, leaves him for dead and repeat. He falls in love with her for no reason and the plot is centered on her and her action of once again betraying Ethan after he saves her and she escapes and gets IIlsa killed who tracked her down to what, you guessed it, save her. I love Rebecca Ferguson's IIsa and MI killed off the wrong character. Grace should have died. The villain Gabriel and his sidekick Paris were weak, redundant and inefficient. MI 7 Part One has zero rewatch value for me. Ghost Protocol and Fallout remain my favorites.

Mischa Collins' D.A. Harvey Dent aside, every character on the show is unlikable and the Joker's daughter is unbearable. The lead playing Bruce Wayne's adoptive son cannot act, he's bland and is at war with his British accent. He's a side player in his own show. This show does not bring the comics or the video game to life. Like most CW shows in recent years, it exists to check certain boxes and to push the usual, boring agenda: Men weak/bad/emotional babies and women are strong/brave/smart/perfect. One and done for me.

Bootleg Superman story, except Naomi's a young Black teen girl. The lead actress playing Naomi is very likeable and some side characters are ok, but there's no interesting story here. After two episodes and six minutes into the third, I cancelled my series recording.
