Although I admire the author for addressing the touchy subject of abuse, this book is not one I would recommend. Glorifying a neurosurgeon did not appeal and an abusive one at that. She didn’t take into consideration the medical community and the repercussions of this character’s actions. It wasn’t realistic. It was annoying at best. The read was slow, had to put on 2X to 3X speed audio to get through the slow portions. I unfortunately bought the hard copy as well. Wish I didn’t throw the receipt away.
