A very biased, one-sided, anti-technology "documentary" about a conservative middle aged mom who is scared of change and doesn't like the effects technology has on her children, who are simply doing their job of being moody teens. The movie completely ignores technology's ability for good, science, learning, and keeping family and friends more connected. It instead spends more time discussing the negative aspects of technology and only briefly discusses the positives for all of about 30 seconds. Not to mention that it was clearly scripted and the kids were clearly instructed on what to say for most of the movie. Much of the information in the film is either outdated or not supported by solid evidence. But I think one of the things I dislike the most about this movie is that it seems to send the message that kid's opinions essentially don't matter and that it's up to their parents to control and dictate their lives. While screens and technology definitely do have there downsides, technology also flies people into space. I would have loved to see the pros and cons of technology presented in a more diplomatic and less one sided movie that is rooted in real science and not simply in paranoia.
