Two of our best actresses shine in this show. Patricia Clarkson and Amy Adams are each stars in their own right and superb in their craft. I enjoy any show that has twists and turns and this show sure has them. The supporting cast is also excellent, in fact I can’t criticize any acting, the cinematography, the direction or the script. A surprise ending is always nice so no fair looking ahead. I only didn’t give it five stars because it would have to be Citizen Kane for me to do that.

This isn’t the type of show I normally enjoy. But the cast is so experienced that they blend well together. The writing is above average as well. Give the show a chance, I don’t think it will disappoint you.

Creepy and all too possible in 17th century New England. Our ancestors had such primitive beliefs that I think they could’ve conjured this whole thing up. What is most frightening is not the witch, but how a family turns on each other. I don’t think I will get the final image out of my mind anytime soon. If you want a modern gore fest, this is not the movie for you.
