Came here to try and boost this over Spider-Man across the spiderverse. That movie was trying way hard to be woke, and it just ended up being a piece of trash. Anyways GOTG 3 was a master piece where do I start. Soundtrack was phenomenal but that’s not new with GOTG. What is new is they were able to weave in actual food funny joke that don’t try too hard like some recent marvel projects like she hulk, love and thunder, across the spider verde. Not only did they nail it with the comedy, the funny parts don’t detract at all from the heartbreaking story of Rocket. For example Thor love and thunder absolutely ruined the serious moments by trying to add a forced joke to lighten the mood. Guardians of the Galaxy was not scared to leave the audience on the verge of tears without trying to change the mood. Best thing marvel has put out since endgame. Marvel needs to take notes from James Gunn because if across the spiderverse is an example for what’s to come, I’m petrified for the future of the MCU.

I can’t believe I’m seeing so many people give such good reviews. The plot is so slow, they spend so much time getting political and spend no time developing the narrative drive. Also the villain was not clear at all, sometimes this can be a good thing but they have so many villains and don’t connect them. Also the jokes in this movie were so forced it did not feel natural at all. Guardians of the galaxy gets worse reviews than this and it’s 500x better than this movie. There was a clear story driver and they were able to intertwine the different storylines and flash backs quite well, not to mention the beautiful and heart wrenching scenes with rocket. With this movie the narrative drive is barely developed until the last 30 mins and there is no impact or meaningful scenes in this movie. All somewhat potential heartfelt moments are squashed by a cringy joke. I hope more people share my views because if this is the direction the mcu is headed I’m more than disappointed.
