Who are these Americans who shy away from watching gunplay, blood and guts? I don't see a single movie ad in our subways that doesn't contain a gun pointed at someone. Meanwhile, terrible killings that involve real terrorists in our midst - including films of the Holocaust - are too difficult to watch? Better to turn away from a horrific incident (because it happened in India?) than remember that this is our world today - not like in a Hollywood movie with vampires and sea monsters and the hero survives but amidst real murderous hate happening right now somewhere. If you can't name 10 countries killing its own people or others, where bombs are being dropped, men, women, children murdered, tortured, raped, no justice, with AK47s and worse, (made in the developed world), then you are living in a make-believe world - a cocoon of your own making.
