Barely finished and I wish I was. I love Washington - maybe my favourite actor of all time. Love Inside Man, on my top 10 any day of the week. But this thing was almost unwatchable. Where to even begin? The dialogue and script - miserable. The background music like some elevator music cd that someone pulled out of a bargain bin. The performances are paper thin. This thing was not a fun or even interesting film. Low effort - this was a waste of the talent involved.

What a total surprise. Realistic, human, terrifying, and supremely tense. Kudos to all actors on this one - casting top notch. Bigeloe brings it home huge. Hadn’t expected to even watch it - especially given that most of us couldn’t care less right now about one more movie about “America” given all the crap it’s launched in the world in the last 10 months. But it’s a knockout. Straight to the top of my favourites list.

Solid actioner. An improvement upon Dead Reckoning. Good to spectacular set pieces and some surprisingly touching performances. Everything you want in a summer film experience.

What a disappointment. I’m genuinely surprised that this much talent could have lead to such a mediocre result. Start with the concept and writing - atrocious. Character motivations are unclear or just non existent. The dialogue is garbage - bad Shakespeare in the park level of delivery. The lead actor - I’m sure he’s been talented before - but what a wet pile of mush he is in this. Crowes Maximus runs circles around this guy. The former Glad actors from Glad 1 are all just phoning it in. This film would have done much better if it had just cut ties with film one and tried to establish its own story and tone. I’m a HUGE Denzel fan, but this will be low on his list of movies. This is not a terrible movie, but there’s nothing to stand out as very enjoyable.

Not a football fan - but very much a fan of smart writing and excellent casting. What a delight of a production - comedy / drama and real characters all in a series. Hats off to this whole creative team - best show I’ve seen in a LONG time. Always liked Sudeikis / but never saw him in a solid vehicle - this is a tour de force from him and the entire cast. Mush watch. All the more because it was so unexpected.

As much as I would like to enjoy it more, it’s a very tiresome and boring start to this series. I think it’s time Star Wars just went permanently to a galaxy far, far away.
