I am old enough to remember that the Fantastic Four actually used to be Marvel's flagship superhero team, over the Avengers and X-Men. I have been disappointed at the various underwhelming movie attempts for what should have been an easy successful franchise. Much of it IMHO has been fairly awful casting, the worst being the Teller version Reed Richards in the almost depressing 2015 mess to the current overexposed and increasingly annoying Pascal. The best to date was The Rise of the Silver Surfer with a reasonably likable cast (including a pre-Captain America Chris Evans as the Human Torch). But even that movie fizzled at the end with it's very disappointing Galactus "Cloud" effect. First Steps was just okay (at best) but Reed Richards' borderline wimpiness as opposed to the comic character's leadership character and courage (plus the insult to the character's history with the stupid pencil black mustache) plus the ho-hum effects, aside from getting Galactus's appearance right this time, does not leave me looking forward to a sequel and/or blending this version of the FF with the rest of the MCU in future movies, particularly if Pascal is involved.

It's embarrassing that anyone trusts this guy as any sort of honest authority on anything.

I thought the first season was great. But, letting Ronald get away and hooking up with the psycho girl in season 2 ...plus the equally psycho twin brother of the crooked cop... show became ridiculous. Failure to resolve anything by episodes' ends when resolution was clearly called for and overdue..made for a frustrating watch. Gave up on it after season 2. A shame. Began with a lot of promise.
