I'm half way through the game, I'm completely bored whenever it's not scary, as another review said. I'm sure that I will absolutely love the story if I finished the game, but I just can't because the whole dream world thingy bores me so much. I think there are a few key elements that I personally don't like about the game; now, I'm sure there are people that love these things or are okay with these things, I'm just saying that, for me, this is why I can't enjoy the full story.
- The battle system is just text and stuff you'd have to search up to know
- I'm autistic and I find the whole dream world really overstimulating with all the colours and nonsense
- Too many enemies to fight
- Boring boss battles
- The plot elements in the dream world are so boring, besides White Space
- In the dream world, it feels like I'm watching an episode of Dora The Explorer, except not enjoyable from an ironic stance- hey, hang on, I could try playing the game ironically so that I can get through it, my own review actualyl helped me!
- The game is just too long, I'm 20 hours in and I'll summarise what has happened so far: I'm in White Space, so I go outside, get immediately overstimulated and bored and stuff, go to a bunch of more boring places, lose my friend, go to the real world for a bit, then kill myself and overstimulate again, then that basically repeats and nothing more happens, besides Kale bullying Aubergine.
