I use this text to teach my Introduction to Cultural Anthropology class and really like it. The online text is awesome because the links are "live" and so students can easily access websites, videos, etc. that support the learning. If they prefer, they can easily purchase a hard copy of the text book on Amazon for about $20. Different authors present each topic, and as a result, instructors can arrange the chapters in any order they wish. A drawback of this, however, is that some chapters repeat the same concepts and miss others - but that is where the "teaching" part comes in. Discussion questions are really good - it would be nice to include a "hands on" activity that requires students to THINK/ACT/DO the anthropological concept they have learned - and then report back. Again - that is where teaching comes in to play. Overall - a GREAT resource!!
