I had mixed feelings buying the game, reviews were either hit or miss. I spent a good hour making my hero the way I wanted to. A female Rook, warrior type. Honestly, Im glad I spent that time on character creation. It made my gameplay much more enjoyable and more fluid with dialog with other team members (noticed that voices for some male Rook is kinda meh and it does make the scenes lot less appealing). I enjoyed that the romance options are clearly indicated, that it lets you know before major points in the story so you can explore as much as you can. One thing I really enjoyed was actually the codex/missives. Between quick snack breaks I could read the lore and extra bits without feeling like it was a wall of text. It was like short chronicles to read. I had a blast playing through it. Im currently working on full completion, I had about 88% done and a good 80 hours in before I finished first pass. Ill probably do a mage next and go different routes for romance and quests/major choices. Seeing others friends that played it, I do notice my choice of character creation really nailed it for the storyline. Its a big part of why it was such a good experience. I enjoyed the combat style, was similar to FF16 in a way. Its quick and can be paused for choice of actions. I did change difficulty a few times. But I enjoyed fighting some big monsters being a good 10 to 15 lvls lower than them 😂🤣 Multiple tries at times but it felt challenging. Hoping you all get to enjoy it as much as I did! Edit: Assan is ADORABLE.
