Well written generally but obvious cliches throughout unfortunately spoil the overall experience.

The reviews I have read do not match my view of this book. It is, essentially, heartbreaking. I almost found it too difficult to keep going. Yes, of course, there is a certain lightness to some of the dialogue and commentary/ reflection but the essence of this book (for me) was tragic. No one is perfect. It made me appreciate my own family even more. I urge you to not see this as a light read, as many have down.. if you really get it, its b... deep.
