This film pulls together so much that brings us as humans down: war and its inherent evil,alcohol, greed,poverty, crime. An unlikely hero for a bit overcomes demons of classic mythic proportions with a plot reminiscent of Flowers for Algernon which was basis for 1960s hit Charley for which Cliff Robertson got an Oscar.

Enjoyed music but film seemed a bit predictable

Accurate account of how small child in all of us will do most anything for parent approval.... and lack of haunts for a lifetime

If you do not have a perfect family and do not mind subtitles, this is mesmerizing
