As a major MCU fan, having watched all of them many times (yes I even watched Thor 1 and 2 several times) this is easily my least favorite film. I admit I watched in in parts because I do not have the time to sit down for 3 hours at once and perhaps that made it hard to get into. Major gripes - 1) I found most of the characters unrelated. I either did not like or couldn’t connect to most of the eternals. For being all powerful immortal god like people, they all seemed to whiney and bland and almost pathetic like. 2) I was constantly confused by the story pace. Moments that should have been climatic felt either rushed or convoluted. Often times the plot does 180s and feels like it contradicts itself. (This person is good. Now bad. Now good. Now a good person doing a bad thing.) Any reason ever given is usually superficial or cliche 3) I felt this clashed with the overall MCU lore. I was hesitant how they would pull it off and I am disappointed (trying to have hope it makes more sense going forward). I still don’t understand how giant monster like creatures have been attacking people for thousands of years but there were no records of them ever. And random people with mysterious powers (they don’t really hide it well) have never had attention. For how much they all “care” about humanity they seem to be fine letting humanity get destroyed. Why would you send a group of protectors to defend against one monster but not an alien army? Like it’s ok for human race to be wiped out by some one as long as it’s not the deviants? In the end I probably wont ever watch this against and I hope the rest of the MCU can pretend it never happened and we can forget about it. Even the end “cliffhanger” didn’t make any sense. Some eternals were kidnapped but only a couple. Idk why they wouldn’t all have been kidnapped? Is like if thanks could have
