Sometimes, these kinds of shows are so bad, that they're good . . . not in the case of this one, however. Just cringey bad. The characters weren't interesting, and the even the drama felt stale. "Stale bread" - lol! (If you've actually watched this show, you'll understand the reference). Hard Pass for me for a second season.

Worth watching. Not for everyone; if you have a darker and/or edgy sense of humor, you'll probably enjoy this series. More & more I'm finding that the better shows on Netflix are international ones. "Katla" was excellent, as was "Curon".

I watched and liked The Stranger and so gave Stay Close a whirl... Early on, I was cringing inwardly from all of the nonsense; they all live in the same area and never ran into each other? The flashbacks almost made me laugh out loud -- for pete's sake, use younger actors who closely resemble the actual actors!! I could go on and on with all of the RIDIC issues with this series ... Was so over & done with the character of Cassie/Meghan by mid-series. Basically, I'm a Richard Armitage fan and watched it to the end because of him. Hopefully his next gig is higher quality!

I just finished season 1 episode 4... so far, it's pretty good. But with Tony Goldwyn and Uma Thurman, how can you go wrong? The only thing that I noticed right off the bat is that the actress who plays Sasha looks much older than a high school student -- I'd say 25 years old. Maybe they cast her purposefully for that reason, to show the dichotomy between her home/life and the affluence of the other teen characters...

A solidly good series. The characters, the writing, the gorgeous setting... Later on in the series, I did get rather annoyed with Zoe and her hot/cold/hot/cold with Boxer; admittedly, Zoe is rather up/down/up/down mentally and especially emotionally due to all of the past and present situations and revelations she finds herself wading in.

I just finished this series today... It is excellent. The actors, writing, setting (the cinematography is eye-popping) and the supernatural element as the icing on the cake. Is it just me, or does Lionello (Thomas) look like he could be Robert DeNiro's younger brother? Just saying...

I've only watched just two episodes, but this series has me hooked & reeled in that quickly. The actors, writing, setting, everything... Another good foreign series is "Curon", which I just finished today. My personal opinion is that the foreign series on Netflix are, generally speaking, better than the U.S.-made ones. Subtitles don't bother me at all, but a majority of Americans won't watch anything that is subtitled. (I'm American so I ought to know!)
