The gameplay is fun and super addicting, with simple controls and decent visuals. Especially for a lower cost game. Overall, I think it’s worth the buy if you want my notes here they are.
It does feel a bit barebones but it’s launching behind Hogwarts Legacy so I doubt. Anything would have met expectations. There’s a tutorial and three cups on career mode that can feel repetitive but mixing up your play style and the difficulties is a good work around for this. My biggest wish is that you could make your own cup settings but other than that the setup is good.
There hasn’t really been new gear or any new levels to gear so maxing out some things early will make you less likely to play around with “loadouts”. Prices in the store for cosmetics aren’t terrible and can be gained through the grind. The challenges do help make the grind less annoying than other games. The lack of new drops does make it easier for new players to catch up on gear and just focus on skills.
They did adapt it fairly well from the books. there’s only one beater instead of two, but each team has a dedicated bludger so it works well. There’s a time limit and score cap, the snitch is worth enough to make catching it a huge boost but doesn’t immediately end the game. All of these help the gameplay but purists may be disappointed.
