Ironheart had all the ingredients to be something real — a young genius, the legacy of Iron Man, a grounded setting — and they just threw it all in a blender with no lid. Instead of giving us a character with purpose, drive, or even a hint of growth, they gave us someone who builds a high-tech suit for no reason other than “because I can.” That’s not ambition, that’s just ego. And the worst part? When she takes a swing at Tony Stark — "Would he be Iron Man if he wasn’t a billionaire?" — it doesn’t come off as insightful, it just sounds petty. Like, do the writers even know who he was by the end of his story and how he built his first suit?
You’ve got a lead actress trying her best, but she’s handed lines that make her sound like a mashup of Reddit threads and bad TED Talks. The show wants her to be edgy and relatable, but instead she ends up feeling like a blueprint of what a Marvel exec thinks a smart, streetwise teenager should act like. There’s no arc. No moment where she earns the armor. No meaningful reason she puts it on. It’s just “I’m smart and I made this suit, deal with it.” Any depth the show could’ve had gets buried under clunky dialogue, forgettable villains, and tone shifts that make it feel like five shows jammed into one. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
