This book taught me a surgical program probably would not fit my personality… Thanks to the author who shared her very personal experience working in the NSW healthcare system as a medical student then registrar. I have heard many things before but reading a first person account is enlightening to my path as a medical student.

The book was quite enlightening on how china is run and where it’s headed. As a Chinese, I have heard quite few of the stories before, but being able to read it through the book through a first person lens is different. The author also opened my eye to the luxurious and corrupt lives a lot of red aristocrats led in China. Overall, a good read if you are curious about China and the CCP. It also shed light how where China might be headed down the road.
