This is indeed a dark biography about a young man of privilege and his struggle with tragic losses at a young age and at perhaps the most critical time of life for a man. Losing his father in his early teens also meant losing his moral compass. Being a somewhat "middle child" can leave a young man feeling neglected. As the third eldest, he likely struggled to prove his worth to an older brother and sister and having many younger siblings left him struggling for the attention of both parents. To his credit, he overcame all that and severe drug addiction through sheer determination and seeking strength through his faith. He is a walking miracle who is now blessed with a loving wife, family and calling. Balance the reading of this book with the study of who he has become. The Bobby Kennedy Jr. We have in 2024 is an inspiration to me.
