I am really disappointed that there isn't a third season of this great look at the Industrial period in England. It was well acted with good sub-plots and historical accuracy. The critics,who rated it too grim, were probably non readers. Maybe, if I had known the story would end flat, I wouldn't have taken the ride. I think there should be better reasoning in deciding what is entertainment.

I know that all the boxes aren't checked for so-called top critics. I don't care. Mostly, they over analyze and are subjective as they look at the cast. I enjoyed this movie. I think the humor sneaks around the corner walls of suspense. The acting was perfect for the story. My husband criticized it; but, he is stuck on the 1,2,3 adventure formula.

This movie was great in so many ways - acting, suspense, cinematography, stiry development. Russell Crowe was great.

I guess this didn't meet my expectations at all as a story, with the acting, a conclusion. A waste of time.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story put to film with great actors. It is one every family should watch because it is inspirational and motivational.

This movie tells a nostalgic story of childhood dreams and brothers bonding and melds it with the topic of child abuse. The story takes many turns portraying childhood with discovery, hurt, and overcoming hardship and fear with imagination and resilience. The ending is left unsaid, but reality frankly hits you in the head. For awhile you were lost in childhood.

This movie leaves you hanging at the end. That does not bode well with me. I understood the message long before the climax. For me, it was time wasted. I keep up with current events, and understand the disparities. There is truth in the deep connection with humanity shown here; but, I thought the connection with the audience was weak due to lack of content resolution and the acting.

The acting was superb and I so enjoyed this documentary drama of a favorite painter. I did not know the story of his life and this movie only depicted his last 25 years; but, it was interesting, yet dull in part due to his sad character. Still. I would recommend it even to those who do not share an interest in art history because the scenery and acting take you to the era where the world was on the cusp of huge change.

I did enjoy the graphic art of the parting of the Red Sea and the plagues, but have issues with the documentary. Some of the so-called expert commentaries are anathema to the living Word of God, adding to the intent and work of holy God. And how in the world is Muslim teaching accurate or relevant? Muhammed took teaching from the Bible and twisted it long after the nation of Israel formed and prospered and after Christ and the apostles. The humanistic interpretation of the miracles and the prophet and leader Moses is of great concern. It is a sad but true reflection of our culture of self aggrandizing. The Bible speaks Truth as it stands.

Great apocalyptic adventure revealing the beginnings of Mad Max and Furiosa. The acting was great and the story and lines kept you glued. There hasn't been a movie of this caliber for quite some time.We want more.
