I have a lot of mixed feelings about this game so I’m going to do positive first than negative. Starting of on the positive side this game is extremely well written, the characters are compelling, the atmosphere is amazing the game does give you a sense of fear and questioning outlast 1 didn’t . The villains and the characters have amazing lore and are really fun to encounter. The game is extremely well detailed doesn’t feel like a copy paste of outlast 1. The enemies are extremely more hostile and sometimes they attack you as a group or swarm you witch is amazing. The new mechanics such as crawling swimming feel absolutely amazing. The game has a lot and a lot of gore witch I personally love but recommend that you do not play this game if you’re very sensitive to gore because it is extremely gory to the point of making me uncomfortable witch is why I love this game. Now going to the negative side the game does lack in a couple of things it feels empty at some parts especially when you get nailed and crucified the game does loose it’s scare factor the more you play the game making it feel a bit easy the enemy AI isn’t the best either I’d occasionally slip past them or hide in front of them really easily. There are extremely tedious moments in the game (for example)...... when you go to the school back and fourth it does loose it’s creepy factor the monster isn’t really fun to encounter mostly one shotting me left and right not even scary the first time you encounter him is fun but than it just gets boring going back and fourth it becomes a chore almost the game requires to waste almost all you’re batteries and it’s really cheesy on some of the jump scares some of them have gotten me but you’ll know when they come most of the time. I highly recommend this game to any fan of horror games like me or if you enjoy video games casually and would like a bit of a scare I’d say buy both Out last and Out last 2 they are both amazing games. But be warned if you are extremely squeamish and don’t take gore to well I’d say stay away from these games especially Outlast 2 there’s a lot of bloody violence sexual moments and nudity. A friendly warning!!!!

It’s an amazing game personally one of my favorites. It’s really intense and fills the player with a lot of tension sometimes even questioning you’re decisions. I highly recommend this game too anyone who is looking for some horror. Some of the bad things about this game is that the game is extremely short witch I understand being a horror game but it’s so damn good. I feel like the game would’ve done way better if they included more real enemies in the game half of the time it was mostly the victims of the experiments going on in there. The game does loose a bit of its fear factor the more you progress but overall it’s a solid experience. I personally liked the DLC for it more it was a bit more gorier witch I loved it had a darker tone and the enemies were extremely hostile.
