what did i just watch?? i really could not bear that the main female lead's character was so unseverely developed, and as a result, her actions make no sense. in fact, they seem to contradict each other, which made me feel even more exasperated. main female lead was a really hard watch because of the plot and that sucked as i feel like the actress had more potential to shine here. the only plus point from the movie is that the cinematography is great.

the idea of the apocalypse is portrayed in a subtle manner, and its arrival feels almost casual. its mystical, and you almost forget its dread, as you get lost in the characters this show might not suit watchers who are comfortable with destination, if anything, this show rly focuses more about the journey than the destination - the lack of a climax can feel unsettling to some for me, it was refreshing, as it rly forced me to sit and focus on the present moment with them, thought it was indeed a bit too slow for my liking (had to 1.25x speed some episodes) but overall, a gud watch, and if there is a season 2, i dearly look forward to it

this looks like a kid's show, but is perfectly suited for an adult audience as well :) it is really relaxing and comforting, with most of its music being lofi tunes, with wholesome characters and really beautiful, delicious and colourful scenes that are seriously a real visual treat. i could analyse the show frame by frame! the show is more slow paced, so its perfect to unwind after a long day. the plot is also interesting and there is a lot of lore of the island, but sadly it seems that it will not be renewed for a new season? feeling pretty bummed by it to be honest.

first time deciding to make a review online about a show, but this show really makes the cut, i felt the need to put my own voice out there too! came to this show without much expectations, just that it is of the same animation style as gravity falls, but man was i surprised. the amount of witty humour was just apt, and while all characters are all flawed in their own ways, somehow the show has managed to make me root for them dearly- while making the snarkiest of comments the state of humanity these days. was a great watch, highly recommend anyone of age to check this out :)
