Absolutely phenomenal show start to finish. Suspenseful at times, heart, sweet, dramatic. A fantastic show.

I'm not necessarily sure why this show is receiving so much praise. And with that I mean is it the accurate portrayal of the wild west? Because if that is the reason, then yes I understand the praise. It is not often depicted as the barbaric environment it truly was, and for that this series is incredibly enlightening to show the vile disgusting barbaric behavior that took place. But if this series is being praised for its plot, then I'm incredibly baffled. The plot at its core is based around to fictional characters in this nonfiction scenario. The main two fictional characters makes the whole series pointless in my Surface opinion. The lead female short and sweet makes poor decisions throughout the series that endangers those around her, and in the end her decisions make the male lead character's death and journey happen for no good reason. They set out for a destination to which they do not decide to go when it's all over, so he died for no reason, joined their trip for no reason; I just don't get it.
