The last 15 minutes was almost excellent. The Runaway, scenes, were truly mesmerising. You get a whole back story from just one action. Everything outside of that felt creaky and uncertain of itself. Anna Kendrick and the producers should be ashamed of themselves putting a near irrelevant part of the story front and centre and giving hero of the story 10 minutes.

For a Kids and Big Kids Movie it does a good Job at the outset of exploring Grief and Loss and the tangibility of failure as more than an abstract concept, The fact that our heroes never really manage to recover from 'The Snap' and return to their old selves goes a long way towards selling the reality of the story and the urgency of the actions taken towards the most epic finale of any Marvel Movie yet. The story itself though absurd in some aspects, grounds itself by following it's own rules to the letter and delivers a grand payoff that ushers in a new era in subdued but meaningful style that manages to remain true to both the old and the new torch bearers. Carrying the weight of 10 years of storytelling and world building on their shoulders the team have managed to deliver a satisfying ending to this particular era and alludes to a hope for the future that never allows itself patronise its fans or compromise its own integrity.
