In one sentence, it's a clash b/w two mighty male egos. The direction and storytelling were beyond excellence. Amidst all the machoism, there is well-placed humor that is bound to crack you up. The ending fight scene was superbly filmed. There are splashes of Sukumar's cleverness and progressive views which added depth to the movie. I could not appreciate the songs and choreography, which I felt were disruptive. Some scenes were just a drag. BGM was not good either but Allu Arjun's mannerisms compensated for that. PS: I loved the tapestry on Allu Arjun's shirts.

I did not read the books and had no clue what to expect. Pros: The visuals are stunning and are unique to this movie. The ornithopters that look like dragonflies wowed me. Jason Mamoa, although for a brief time, is pleasing to watch. Cons: The movie was a little slow and humorless. I felt bored in multiple places. The music, although by Hans Zimmer, was bland. I expected some dynamism like in the movie Interstellar. Will I watch Dune2? I highly doubt it.

Film experiences can range widely, yet certain movies have a way of prompting profound introspection. Rangamarthanda did exactly this for me. I take immense pride in the fact that such a thought-provoking film originated from my native language, Telugu. The film was so captivating that it is likely the first Telugu film I've watched on an OTT platform without skipping any part. Rangamarthanda delves into an array of societal issues including, disrespect towards local language and culture, the neglect of children due to overly occupied parents, globalization, life regrets, the significance of the marital bond in society, and the loneliness experienced during old age. The performances are simply stellar. Prakash Raj, Bramhanandam, and Ramya Krishna truly embodied their characters. The film's dialogue struck a chord with me, particularly relevant and insightful. One notable example is Prakash Raj's enlightening discourse to a school principal about the importance of every language - "భాష అంటే చరిత్ర, సంస్కృతి, వారసత్వాల త్రివేణి సంగమం" . The heart-tugging melodies composed by Ilayaraja garu especially ''పువ్వై విరిసే ప్రాణం ", accompanied by simple yet touching lyrics of Sirivennela garu, will certainly leave a mark on your heart.
