Excellently acted by Hartnett and others. The direction was also very good. You never know where the movie is going, well paced.

- movie is quite boring with weak storyline - the flashbacks to old shows and the chimp scenes are long drawn out and there is no connection to the main story line. If they are meant as allegories, they fail badly - Kaluuya is a good actor but in this one he looks bored and expressionless - Palmer does a good job but her ebullient personality is out of place - Character development is weak This movie is an example of a director who overthinks and tries too hard to make what he thinks is a deep movie but fails due to poor execution. Peele is likely a one hit wonder

Much better than critics made it out to be.tightly made, well developed, weird, unsettling but mostly satisfying. Direction needs to be tighter in a few places to keep up the emotional intensity. Feels "loose" at times. Overall, a good movie to watch in theaters.
