what a let down. wooden acting by the main "stars". too full of pregnant silences. set in 1923 and supposedly to represent the civil war, but apart from a couple of bangs in the distance, the civil war had zero relevance. it tended to show the irish as a bit backward, but this is what americans revel in. the self mutilation was gratuitous and was unnecessary. there were also a couple of visible bloopers on show. the irish can do better than this !
