Now one of my favorite feel-good comedies ever! Well-balanced in most aspects, but Jason Segel's endearing charm and Harrison Ford's comedic chops are true standouts. The entire cast delivered great performances, allowing their characters' complexity and heart to shine.
It’s a fun portrayal of the human condition from a psychologist’s perspective. How does one move forward with grief? How can you help others if you can’t even help yourself? While it does depict some unethical practices and inaccuracies in delivering cognitive behavioral therapy, it doesn’t minimize mental health. An easy and engaging watch, and for a show about loss, it doesn’t get overwhelmingly sad. I find myself laughing out loud from the dry humor and heartwarming wit. Could sometimes get a bit cringey and kitschy for me, but the beauty is in the irony.
Can’t wait for season 2.
