Enjoyed it but this show is far too highly praised. The setting is interesting but the characters are generic, one-dimensional stereotypes. Starts off great but quickly stops focusing on the monsters and the reason for why they exist (which is basically the only thing that sets this apart from a zombie story). After around episode 4 or 5, it gets a bit stale and repetitive with very little character development that you with the exception of incredibly predictable things that you basically know will happen if you've seen any show or film similar to this before. Pacing is pretty shoddy and, at times, difficult to follow. Extremely noteworthy: The monsters are initially invincible (not an exaggeration; they cannot die) and massively overpowered but then the group is suddenly able to fight them like it's a walk in the park. The only exception after that is when the plot requires that a monster suddenly gets the better of someone, which is always a surprise after it becomes the norm that the group beats loads of them with relative ease. Also, the show uses Imagine Dragons "Warriors" song five times. Five times. One episode uses it twice. What were they thinking? It's a genuinely enjoyable watch but the pay off isn't great and I couldn't help but feel it was maybe a few episodes too long for what little content was actually explored. Ultimately it's a great premise but poorly executed. Possibly a controversial opinion but I think the 5 star reviews written in English are coming from people with a particular taste or obsession for Asian media which blinds them from seeing Sweet Home's many glaring faults.

Tobin Bell has about three minutes screentime, all of which occurs in the first 10 minutes. It shouldn't make out like he's a main character or anything. Terrible film.
