This movie is absolutely amazing and is incredibly re-watchable. Proenneke's venture into the deep Alaskan wilderness is engaging, inspiring, and relaxing. Try watching this when you're having a hard time falling asleep. It is in no way boring; the movie has a peaceful tone about it that has the power to ease you down and help you find rest and contentment.
Not to mention, that after watching this movie it'll fire you up to go out and DO something. I often found myself saying, "If this guy can go out and chop down 30 pine trees to build himself a shelter from grizzlies and the Alaskan winter, I can (at the very least) make that birdhouse my kids have been begging me to build."
