I tried to like this book, I really did. In my opinion the plot is somewhat unclear and the overall climax is messy. For such a dense book, the plot was incredibly slow moving. The writing is a bit redundant as the same phrase is often used for an action a character does frequently in the book. The descriptions of scenery and the overall writing needed to develop the world are lackluster for me. The book is not able to stand alone as a sequel as it doesn't feel like there was any real conflict resolution in the end. It was difficult to finish this one.
