Lexi Ryan is amping up her game! What a twisted book (pun intended), a cascading plot that threw me at the shallow end and a cliff hanger that left me screaming for book 2. At first, I wasn't going to lie, the story dragged a little boring for me but I'm giving myself a pat on the back for holding on till the very end because this isn't a book you want to miss out on. Finn and Bas tore my heart apart, both lovely in their own ways but with agenda's in the end that betrayed me as a reader and left me feeling pity and heartbroken for Brie. It's fast paced as you gradually ease into the world - but don't settle in too quick! Can't wait for book 2!!

this is heart wrenching book. it kept me actively reading for hours, walking in the shoes of the characters as they navigate through out the book. The rich vocabulary selection of this masterpiece fascinated me, the history of the culture and the conversation of caste in that society hooked me. The author has done a beautiful job with grasping the readers attention for the duration of the book. It was almost like a twisted tale of cinderella but a hidden queen in the making. the heart wrenching scene between Kamran and Alizeh in her room made me hold my breath and watch the two unfold in desperation - especially Kamran. Can't wait for the 2 book!!
