Great read - I first listened to Johnnie in the latter days of Radio Caroline and then pretty much through the early 70s (including the day he got married to his first wife!) until he left Radio One in 1976. I left the UK but, was back in 2004 for family reasons. His drivetime shows provided quite the anchor. The book itself seems honest and open - especially about his early years and then again the trials of life in the US. If you are a fan - or just enjoy a bit of UK radio history - this is a good book.
