Ok people were being WAY too mean about this. It’s not that serious, even think there were some homophobic reviews. This book is pretty fast paced but it’s a comic, what do u expect? I think the characters are cool except Serena. Her character development was not it. I was waiting for her to turn nice, but it never happened. *SPOILERS*: After Keltie (a mermaid-seal thing) turns into a seal to save Serena from drowning, she gets permanently stuck as one because that’s a rule. Morgan (the main character) just lost her girlfriend and has to wait 7 years for her to be back, and Yk what Serena says? She doesn’t comfort her AT ALL and says “you know what I really want to do? Hang out with my best friends, watch a bad movie, and eat too much birthday cake.” GIRL. HER GIRLFRIEND TURNED INTO A SEAL AND DISAPPEARED, AND SHE HAS TO WAIT 7 YEARS…. me and Serena have BEEF. If she was one of my friends I’d leave her instantly. No character development, she’s just stinky. Also Morgan was pretty shady with Keltie. I know she wanted to hide being gay and all but she didn’t have to be so rude with her. And keltie didn’t have to be so oddly touchy with her. I kind of found it creepy .. In the span of like 4 days, they’ve kissed about 5 times.😭 The book is decent, it does not need all this slander in the reviews.
