This movie feels like a Saturday morning cartoon wearing a Hollywood budget. The plot is paper-thin, the villain is as forgettable as background noise, and Superman himself comes off less like a symbol of hope and more like an overgrown, whiny Superboy.
It tries to copy Marvel’s tone with forced humour and cringe-level ensemble moments, but lacks the soul, stakes, or weight of what a Superman film should be. Every scene feels like it was written by someone who's only skimmed the Wikipedia page for the character.
And yet somehow, this gets a 90%+ audience score? Wild. I guess mediocrity is the new masterpiece.
If you’re looking for Superman, go watch Man of Steel. This ain’t it.
