Ed Gallagher

I was impressed by the acting, especially from George, and the visually stunning cinematography. But ultimately I found the film historically inaccurate and boring, with a storyline that lacked depth and failed to engage.

Genuinely brilliant film. I know there are lots of people citing historical inaccuracies, but I'm not familiar enough with the detail to comment on that, but an excellent portrait of Napoleon and superb film.

The trailor looked like this was going to be spectacular, but all in all a decidedly average film. The story was shallow, lacking any really gritty detail and the style and effects seemed to be a mishmash copy of all the classic sci-fis but were done far better in the originals, e.g. Blade Runner. So the film is 'ok', just not great.
