I only gave two stars instead of one because I love what Souljah stands for and I loved the first book. WITH THAT BEING SAID…. Man…. What in the hell?! I randomly came across my copy of The Coldest Winter Ever that I bought over 20 years ago, and I got so excited. I had found out late last year that she wrote a CWE two! So I read the first CWE (again) in one day. I enjoyed it just as much as I ever did and I was really excited to start reading number two. (I will say reading it as a 34 yo woman instead of a 14 year was a little different. Some cringe worthy parts for sure) I was pretty confused at the beginning because it wasn’t really clear what was going on. By page 33 of 346 I googled the review for the book. I couldn’t do it anymore if the rest of the book was going to be like it had been. I have to say I am VERY disappointed. I won’t be reading the rest of the book. And after reading other reviews that the follow books (like for Midnight and Porsche) had a heavy religious tone, I won’t be reading those either :(. I was looking forward to her life after she got out of prison.
