Honestly I find the movie to be a good comedy, does it have some problems with its comparison to the game. Yes but to be fair I feel what Steve says in the beginning is how to look at the movie. "This is his story." Not that it's the only story an Minecraft is based on the idea everyone has there own story. It's not a on the rails story game an the movie doesn't have to be either. Are there some things that a hardcore Minecraft "game" person might not enjoy. Yes but I wasn't going for a deep dive into Minecraft lore, I was going for a enjoyable trip. If they make a second one I would be interested in watching it.
